Don't Dawdle...

A Message to my Enneagram 5 Self

While at one of my favorite annual book sales collecting more knowledge--as 5s tend to do-- I picked up yet another book on the Enneagram. I happened upon this page:

The Labyrinth and the Enneagram- Circling into Prayer by Jill Kimberly Hartwell Geoffrion and Elizabeth Catherine Nagel

The passage from this book certainly read me like one..almost to the point of feeling invasive. But instead of evoking anger or annoyance I felt love...and light, and warmth. I see you, I know you, I love you, and I'm here...

Jesus said: "Take no thought for tomorrow..." when I arrived home I read Matthew 6: 25-34 about the "lilies of the field" and then my thoughts went to the Manna that appeared as needed and would spoil if not used. I have everything that I need for today, for now, for this moment. All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are in the Divine, and I'm united with the Divine...so why dawdle?
